WHAT'S HAPPENING?

Alyson will be teaming up again with The Firefly Web’s writer/director, Erika Jenko for the the world premiere production of Penelope. The production will take place at the Immersive Arts Center in LA the first two weekends of July. More information to come soon!
Alyson has started a new YouTube channel, A Wild Stream, where she will be focusing on filmmaking and storytelling as a disabled artist.

Alyson’s short film, Push Through, is now an Official Selection of the 42nd Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival. The film is about a woman with hidden disabilities struggling with internalized ableism as she gets ready for the day, and is based off of Alyson’s experiences. Push Through will play in the Shorts Program 01: A Sense of Self on April 15, 2023 at 3:30pm at The Main Cinema. Tickets for the festival can be found here.
Push Through received Semi-Finalist in the Blow-Up Arthouse International Film Festival in Chicago.

The Firefly Web received the Best Production and Best Director awards at the 2022 SheLA Summer Theatre Festival. Online screening of opening night will be available for one week starting on July 21st. More information can be found here.

Alyson is participating in the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge. The challenge brings visibility to disabled filmmakers and talent by creating short films in one week. The films will be up for public viewing beginning April 16, 2022. More information about the film challenge can be found here.

Hands received Official Selection and an Award of Excellence at the Canada Shorts Film Festival.

Hands, which Alyson co-wrote and starred in, has been awarded as Semi-Finalist at Flickers Rhode Island International Film Festival. The short film will be up for consideration for their sidebar festivals and screenings.
